Island Hikers

The hike starts at the Blanchisseuse Spring Bridge and the upstream walk along the Marianne River Bank will take twenty minutes.The  River has always been significant to the people of Blanchisseuse which in french means "ladies River" .It sources originates  from  the watersheds of  Brasso Seco, Morne La Croix,and Avocat  and it flows in a  parallel direction to the Arima Blanchisseuse Road.At the lower course, the river plunges down  from a broad plateau over a steep escarpment to create three consecutive basins.This area is known as Three Pools and it is a favorite recreation spot for young villagers. The river has formed  a natural slide from the middle basin  to the first and it is an adventure to climb the rocks to access the second and third pools.
